MAIL BOXES
The SPHA Mailbox is manufactured by Gaines Manufacturing.

It is a “Keystone Series” Model KS-9A, Charcoal with Satin Nickel Accent.

The SPHA Covenants require the mailboxes for the neighborhood be standard. Southern Pointe mailboxes should not have permanent decals on them, be painted other colors, or be modified in any manner. These are covenant violations. Only original replacement parts are authorized for use.

SATELLITE DISH COVENANTS & LOCATION
• All installations are covered by the covenants that state, “Exterior antennas or dish type receivers shall not be erected on any residence or lot anywhere in the addition, without the approval of the Architectural Committee.”
• Also note that the By-laws of the Association require that the dish not be visible from the street. In other words, it should be installed at the back of your house.
• The Architectural Committee will consult with you to ensure that the dish will receive proper reception around any obstacle while satisfying the covenant and by-law.
Be prepared to advise your dish installer about the covenant & by-law requirements. If the dish installation is not in compliance with these requirements, you will be asked to remove and reinstall so as to be in compliance.
• Please contact a Board Member or the Architectural Committee if you have questions.

MAIL THEFT
Mail theft has become a growing problem and a neighborhood concern. Thieves are targeting mailboxes and stealing mail. Checks are being chemically “washed” and altered to add a new payee name and a large amount.

Below are listed some tips to stop the theft problem:
• Deposit your outgoing mail at the post office, The UPS Store, or similar facility. Do not put outgoing mail in your street-side mailbox.
• Check your box daily for inbound mail. If you are out of town, stop delivery of your mail.
• To prevent "washing" of checks, a special ball point pen can be purchased. It is a Uniball Signo 207. It is available at office supply stores and Wal-Mart and retails for around $3.00. It was developed by an FBI consultant specializing in check security.
• If you know you have mail theft, report the incident to the Postmaster and the police. The more they hear from us concerning thefts, the more they will investigate.
• Tax time is approaching and the thieves will be on the lookout for incoming and outgoing tax checks.

DOG WALKING
Please clean up after your pet when walking.

TRASH COLLECTION
Please place your trash at the street the evening before or early that morning. Maintaining good curb appeal keeps Southern Pointe a desirable community.
PLEASE: Do not put old paint cans in your trash. When the trash is crushed, the paint leaks and permanently stains the streets.

NEIGHBORHOOD PARKING
Please be considerate of your neighbors when parking outside your driveway. Please do not park directly behind the driveways or block main thoroughfares.
